I am surprised that CC stunk tonight. CC Sabathia was rusty. Too much rest. CC Sabathia pitch better on normal rest or three days of rest.
Yeah, he didn’t pitch well at all, but it’s easy to ignore it considering they won.
The New York Yankees bats really came alive in the 8th inning last night to take a 6-5 victory. CC Sabathia wasn’t sharp again. I think the long rest has something to do with it but not all. CC Sabathia pitch better on normal rest or three days of rest.
That was quite amazing, it shows how you can never give up on a baseball game. Hopefully the Yankees win sets the tone for the rest of the series.
Yes I agree. Never count out the New York Yankees in any game. That the reason why you watch the whole game not turn if off when the Yankees are trailing by five runs or six runs.
I didn’t expect a sweep of the Texas Rangers. A little surprised that Hughes also pitch poorly. Those Texas Rangers can hit but I thought the New York Yankees would do a little better job of shutting them down.
I agree, this game was a little surprising. Still, I certainly did not think it would be an easy win.
Series tied up at a game a piece coming into New York. I think Lee has his work cut out for him facing the best lineup in baseball in their home ballpark. Yankee Stadium is intimidating to an opposing team in the regular season but it has a different feel come postseason time, trust me I know from experience. It is going to be a tough task for the Rangers and Lee to beat the Yankees this week as they play 3 games in the Bronx. Even with Burnett going in Game 4 I honestly believe the Yankees can win this ALCS at home and sweep this 3 game set. Pettitte, Burnett, Sabathia, that’s a force to reckon with right there and when you combine that with the Yankee lineup it is a recipe for success. The Chase For 28 Continues!
Now the New York Yankees are down two games to one. Cliff Lee was dominating. Lost 8 to nothing due the bullpen implosion in the ninth. Andy Pettitte pitched good enough to win allowing two runs but it wasn’t enough when Cliff Lee gave up no runs.
The Yankees are on the brink being down three games to one. Need CC Sabathia to save the day.
