  1. The Trenton Thunder and The Charleston River Dogs both won tonight. The Championship Tradition of the Yankee farm teams continue.

    • Slade is starting the year in extended Spring Training. I like the move, just because he has the most upside of all the Yankees outfield prospects doesn’t mean he is ready for pro-ball, remember he is fresh out of high school. We’ve seen what rushing can do to prospects (Eric Duncan and Carmen Angellini).

  2. The River Dogs are full of former SI Yankees and I am happy to see them moving up the ladder of the Yankees farm system. Both Higashioka and Mack who were on the team last season were called up to this past spring training so we see that the Yankees think highly of these 2 minor leaguers. Also if you look further back there are many SIY alum in every level of the system including the Bronx. Cervelli, Cano and Gardner made it to the Show as well as former Yankees such as Wang and Cabrera. This just goes to show how serious the Yankees are about winning.

  3. I am curious about Adam Warren will he be a quick mover through the minors league! I knew he was great at Staten Island last season!

    • Warren certainly has the potential to be a fast riser. He was drafted out of college so he is more mature and experienced than many of his peers. Plus he doesn’t walk a lot if batters (I think he had 10 walks in 50-something innings last while with the SI Yankees).
