  1. This is a great sports blog you have here man. It’s a very good read. I have a sports blog myself but I specifically cover the New York Giants. I’ve been a fan all my life and it’s great writing about them. I would like to exchange links with you to help spread some traffic around. It can’t hurt us, it’s a win/win on both sides.

Please let me know if this is possible. Take care and keep up the good work.

    • Happy Holidays Chris it has been fun reading your blog and all the topics that you covered in 2009. Keep up the good work in the New Year. Also Jason I am a Giants fan who also has a blog about the Yankees if you don’t mind I was wondering if you wanted to swap links with me as well. Here is mine:

    • Hi Jason,

I’m pleased you like my blog, and I took a look at GIANTStalk and it looks pretty nice. Well, anyway the link is up and my blog and hopefully both of us get more traffic on our blogs.

  2. I am also a Giants fan along with being a Yankees fan and the Giants will be eliminated tonight if the Redskins don’t beat the Cowboys!! Happy Holidays Chris and a Happy New Year!!!

  3. Yes he is!! Jason Bay is a Mets!! But the Yankees are probably looking at Reed Johnson, Marlon Byrd type of guys for leftfield!!!

  4. Reed Johnson or Marlon Byrd? Where exactly do you get your facts from? Once Nady lowers his price tag he is probably the most realistic possibility for the Yankees in LF

    • I think Reed Johnson is the most likely candidate at his point, I hope the Yankees aren’t really too serious about Marlon Byrd. As far as Nady goes, I don’t think its likely, don’t forget he is coming off his second TJ surgery. The chance of recovery for a player’s first TJ surgery is low, never mind the second.

If I had to guess who will be standing in left field for the Yankees on opening day, I would say Johnny Damon. I don’t think there is any team out there that is willing to give him 20 million over two years, he will have to bring his price down. And maybe once he brings his price down, Cashman will negotiate with him again.

  5. I agree Chris!! But the waiting on Scott Boras clients to sign is annoying and waiting until January or February!! Such as Matt Holliday then Damon!! If Matt Holliday sign back with the Cardinals then another market dries up for Johnny Damon!!

  6. I like the sound of Johnny Damon a lot better than Marlon Byrd or Reed Johnson. Also Nady should definetley lower his price tag if he wants to get signed by anyone after coming off this very serious surgery again. Also I have a new blog on Word Press. It is: http://nyyyakkinblog.wordpress.com everyone who comments on 161st Street please check it out if you have a minute.

  7. Thanks Chris!! Okay I am happy that Marlon Byrd went to the Cubs for three years and 15 million dollars another outfielder off the market!! The Johnny Damon market is shrinking again!!
