As the Yankees look to take the final game of this 4 game series against the White Sox, we can only hope that today’s game will not be worse than yesterday’s game. I don’t want to even think about yesterday’s game, so I won’t be discussing it. Anyway, here is the Yankees starting lineup via Pete Abe that will be opposed by some guy who apparently set the major league record by retiring 45 batters in a row, I think his name is Mark Buehrle:
SS Derek Sanderson Jeter
LF Johnny David Damon
1B Mark Charles Teixeira
DH Alexander Emmanuel Rodriguez
RF Nick Thompson Swisher
2B Robinson Jose Cano
CF Melky Astacio Cabrera
3B Jerry Wayne Hairston Jr.
C Jose Benjamin Molina Matta
And on the mound, Carsten Charles Sabathia
Remembering Thurman Munson
30 years ago today, Thurman Munson died in a plane crash. 30 years later we still remember him, and today the YES Network is going to air a tribute to Thurman at 1:30 during the pre-game show.
R.I.P. THURMAN MUNSON
