During the Yankees game today in which they defeated the White Sox 8-5, Melky Cabrera hit for the cycle. In doing so, Melky became only the 15 Yankee to ever accomplish the feat…pretty cool, huh? I am extremely happy for Melky, and I am also happy that I will never have to hear “the last Yankee to hit for the cycle was Tony Fernandez back in 1995.” Congratulations Melky! Here’s the video of the cycle in case you want to see it again.

Melky pumps his fist after hitting a triple to complete the cycle.
Melky stuck it to “Mr. Perfect” today putting on a show of his own in Chicago. He was going to hit the cycle today and nothing could’ve stopped Melky today as he was a man on a mission. The Yankees are going to need more games like this along with another 5th starter that isn’t Sergio Mitre to run away with the AL East.
