As the Yankees look to take game 1 of this 4 game series against the Tribe, they send out the following lineup, via Peter Abraham, to face the reigning AL Cy Young Award winner, Cliff Lee:
SS Derek Jeter
LF Johnny Damon
1B Mark Teixeira
3B Alex Rodriguez
2B Robinson Cano
C Jorge Posada
DH Hideki Matsui
RF Nick Swisher
CF Brett Gardner
And on the mound, Andy Pettitte

Jorge Posada, returns tonight from the DL.
What’s The Word?
There is not word, yet, on who was or will be removed from the 25-man roster to make room for Posada. I have a feeling it’s going to be Cervelli because the Yankees probably want him to play everyday and he can’t really do that up here. I will have updates, as soon as they become available.
Mixed Reports On Melky…
The other day we heard that he would be out 5-7 days, now Marc Craig of The Star Ledger is saying that Cashman said Melky will be avaible of the bench during this Cleveland series. We will have to wait and see.
Matt Wieters Debut Tonight
Matt Wieters will make his Major League debut tonight for the Orioles. He is real good, simple as that. It’s not too often you see a young catcher who can hit like he can, and I don’t think he is bad defensively. I’m going to keep on eye on him, he could really be something special in the next few years. Still, let’s not jump the gun.
A Night Out
CC Sabathia and crew went out to the Cavs-Magic game last night. I was watching part of the game, when I saw Mariano Rivera in the stands, I was just like, “Is that Mo?”
Roster Update
Kevin Cash was optioned to Scranton. I didn’t even know that Cash had options, but in this case it was probably a no brainer for the Yanke.. Well, I think I like it better this way.
Update 6:56 via Pete Abe
It’s raining, and the tarp is being put down. The start will be delayed…boo.
Update 8:30
First pitch…yay!
I saw the Yanks @ the Cavs game last night and they probably brought the Cavs some luck. I’m psyched that Jorge is finally back! Matsui is getting hot along with Teixiera and the rest of the team. If they keep playing this well with the Rays and Blue Jays slumping the Yankees will have the AL East in the bag. The Rays have lost 5 in a row and the Jays have lost 9 in a row. Also Delgado might be out for the year and his career might be over but they’re in first place none the less. Hopefully tonight the Yankees will get revenge for what the tribe did to them at the stadium during opening week.
I do hope that the Yankees have some revenge for the Indians. However, to say that the Yankees could have the AL East in the bag so soon is extremely premature.
It’s premature to predict the Yankees as A.L. East champions!! I want the Yankees to bomb American Idle Carl Pavano and the Indians this weekend by winning three out of four!!
It may be premature to celebrate the Yankees AL East Championship victory but looking at the current AL East standings the Yankees chances are looking very good. In reference to Carl Pavano getting bombed by the Bronx Bombers there is no doubt. The tribe has to face the Yankees at the wrong time because the Yankees are RED HOT rolling into Cleveland for this weekend series and they don’t seem to be cooling down any time soon.
You are a very confident person, Riz. I can’t argue with that because that’s your style.
Update: The game will start at 8:30
My style? LOL. I had no idea that I had a style. It’s the 5th inning as I’m typing this and the Yankees are leading 3 – 0 which means that they are halfway to being in first place all by themselves for the first time since the final game of the 2006 season.
FIRST PLACE BABY! CC will be on the mound against his old club tonight looking to make it three and a row and to not relinquish first place right after they got it like the other team in New York. **Cough,Cough** (The Mets)
The Red Sox lost again to the Toronto Blue Jays 5-3 this afternoon again!! I am confident that C.C. Sabathia now with the Yankees!! will outduel Fausto Carmona of the Cleveland Indians!!
