As you can see, the Yankees lost the game by a score of 8-4. It may not sound like a really close game, but if you take a closer look you can see that the Yankees led the game 1-0, on a Matsui RBI single in the 1st. CC was pitching well until the 6th inning when he gave up an unearned run (Jeter error). Then in the 7th Sabathia gave up 4 more runs to make it a 5-1 game. He left the 7th with 2 outs, and Albaladejo came in and got the last out. Then in the 8th Jose Veras (uh-oh, why have you forsaken me Girardi) came in and allowed a run. Then in the 9th David Robertson came in and gave up 2 runs (1 earned). In the bottom of the 9th Posada hit a two run home run to make it 8-3, then Jeter hit a fly ball which should have been caught but Gary Matthews made an error which allowed Brett Gardner to score. The Yankees could not do anything else from this point one. Once again, the Angels won by a score of 8-4.

In the 1st inning Jeter stole second but the throw to second was a bad one and caused injuries to both Jeter and Erick Aybar. Jeter hurt his neck (stiff, maybe a little strained), but stayed in the game. Aybar got hit on the face with the ball, and he had to leave the game.
